Inside GH Games, as designed
About

A counter you can see across.

Most card shops price your collection in the back and come out with a number. We price it on the counter, line by line, with the market price on the same row. That's the whole idea. Everything else — the rates on the wall, the four play nights, the grading lane — follows from it.

Why we opened

Miami deserved a better counter

South Florida has more collectors per square mile than almost anywhere in the country and, until now, no trading card shop built around the counter — the place where someone walks in with a binder and walks out with a fair number. Plenty of places sell cards, and Miami has good places to play — several of them, most nights of the week. What it hasn't had is a counter that publishes its rate and shows you the math.

We're opening in September 2026 with ten lines: the two giants, Pokémon and Magic; Yu-Gi-Oh!, whose vintage market is one of the best-kept secrets in the hobby; One Piece, the fastest-growing game of the decade; Disney Lorcana; Dragon Ball, rebuilt from scratch as Fusion World; and the four newer lines — Digimon, Union Arena, Gundam and Riftbound — where getting in early matters. Each has its own page explaining what it is and why we carry it.

The people

Owners at the counter, not a quota

GH Games is owned by two Miami partners who have spent years on the customer's side of a card counter and didn't like what they saw there. The person pricing your cards is an owner. There's no commission on talking you down, because there's nobody to pay it to.

How we price

Nothing to hide, so nothing hidden

Every card that crosses the counter gets priced against live market data — recent sales, not asking prices — and written on an offer sheet you keep whether or not you sell. Market price sits next to our offer on every row. If you want to know why the offer is what it is, the answer is on the sheet.

The rate is printed, not negotiated: 55% of market in cash, 70% in store credit, on every line, with bulk by the thousand at rates you can read before you drive. Credit pays more because it comes back through the door, and it never expires. Nothing is priced on the sleeve: condition is graded on the card, under a loupe, on your side of the counter.

We won't buy what we can't sell — resealed boxes, unverifiable cards, games outside the ten — and we'll say so before you've driven over, which is what the photo-first quote is for.

Community

What a card shop is for

A local card shop is the place a hobby becomes a community: where a kid's first deck gets built, where a Commander pod finds its fourth, where a collection that took twenty years gets treated like it did. Miami has rooms that do the playing part well. We're adding the counter part — and enough tables to run four nights properly rather than nine badly.

House rules fit on one line: be someone people want to sit across from. All ages on every night unless the listing says otherwise; kids under 14 with a parent in the shop. The Discord invite goes live with the doors.

Programs we're applying to

Every sanctioned night runs through a publisher program. These are applications, not badges yet — each one is added here the day it's approved.

The room

What we're building

A thousand square feet, planned around the counter: a sealed wall across all ten lines, glass cases for singles down the centre, a graded wall, a supplies shelf that isn't an afterthought, and seating for sixteen at the play tables for league nights and trade nights. There's a lit corner for live case breaks, with slot counts and results published in full. The floor plan is on the home page — touch any zone to see what happens there.
